Native from Paris, BORN FROM LIE is born on the ashes of the band Anna's Rebirth which has been formed by long time's friend, jérôme Thellier (voice and guitar) and David Joubert (bass-guitar). Anna's Rebirth is then a trio, playing Hard Rock with french's lyrics.
After some line-up changes and mostly in the post of drummer, Jérôme and David decide to evolve their music in a heavier way with english's lyrics. To improve the melodic's possibilitys of the songs, David leave the bass-guitar for the guitar and Pascal Davoury joins the band as bass player in april 2013. For the fist time, the band goes from three to four members:
Jérome : voice and guitar
David : guitariste
Pascal : bass-guitar
Julien : Drum
Then, the band decide to change his name to BORN FROM LIE which is the title of one of the band's autobiographical song. In the purpose to record an album, the band adapt some of the Anna's Rebirth's song and add new songs.
They record the album between summer and automn 2013. The band sign the their album's distribution with Brennus music in september 2014. In october, David Caparros replace Julien on the drum.
«Born from Lie», our first eponym album, has been recorded betwen summer et automn 2013 in our own studio by Steven Moalic, Julien de La Haute Maison and jérôme Thellier. Every songs are written and composed by jérôme Thellier. Some of them have been writen years before and some other only few weeks before the recording of the album.
We have tried to regroup in our own way on the eleven songs of the album, our influences with some alternations from a song to another and, sometimes in the same song, of Rock'n Roll , Metal, without forget the old school's Thrash or the 80' s Hard Rock. Eachline of singing line try to accent these atmospheres with the use of clean vocals, sreams and sometimes growls, in the service of dark lyrics which are sometimes auto biographical or fictionals.
Our long time's friend Anaïs Martin made us the privilege to sing on « Don't Let Me Down ». This album may be hard to classify but it looks perfectly like every one of us.
