ROZZ leaves no one indifferent, either on stage or on disc and is the subject of rave reviews
First period 1984/1987
ROZZ was created at the beginning of 1984 in Valenciennes (North of France). As it often happens Jean Pierre (vocal)and Marcel (guitar) left their former band to live new adventures which better suited their ambition and their musical tastes.
As soon as they found a name and created a repertoire of 12 tracks (some of them became real symbols of the Northern combo: “Né pour le Hard”, “Publicité”, “Cauchemar”, “Another life” …) and there they were for a first performance which happened to be so successful that it quickly gave them the opportunity to perform as guest of famous national and international bands (Vulcain, Blue Oÿster cult, Tokyo Blade, Acid …) Just the time to meet all the famous ones who belonged to that prolific time for French Heavy Metal and they released their album “Une Autre Vie”, of which the songs are still requested by the fans today in concert . A solid national tour converted many people to Heavy Metal forever, all over France and farther.
But as a new album was about to be finished, neither eulogistic comments in the Heavy Metal press nor a fan club thirsty for ROZZ prevented the band from splitting and thus stopping the northern breaker.
Second period : since 2008
ROZZ started again in march 2008 : JP et Marcel met again and re-started up the ROZZ machine which ended the year on stage in Lille with an enthusiastic audience made up of old and new fans.
2009-2010
The year begins with the release of a new 5-tracks EP “2009”. Very appreciated by the critics. This new EP allows ROZZ to play with the best actual French and European Metal bands.
Rozz has worked in studio since July 2009 to record 15 new songs and ended this work in February 2010. This new CD called “D’un Siècle à l’Autre”", is now available.
