C’est après plus de quinze ans d’existence sous divers line-ups que PILEDRIVER trouve définitivement son alchimie musicale sous la forme d’un power trio.
Le groupe produit une musique résolument Rock très influencée par les groupes des seventies (Deep Purple, Status Quo ou encore ZZ Top...). C’est donc tout naturellement que PILEDRIVER leur rend hommage lors des concerts à travers de nombreuses reprises, dont le groupe tient à garder l’esprit originel sans tomber dans le copie conforme ou la caricature...
Reprises donc, mais surtout compositions, car c’est au sein de leurs deux derniers albums que ces trois musiciens aux fortes personalités et riches de leurs éxperiences musicales passées abordent désormais leurs compositions, car le but de tout artiste n’est il pas de jouer ses propres créations?...
C’est sur scène que PILEDRIVER prend toute sa mesure en proposant au public de partager son amour et sa passion pour cette musique authentique et sincère dans un moment de pur plaisir et de bonne humeur partagée.
PILEDRIVER, c’est plus de 700 concerts à travers la France ainsi qu'à l’étranger, de nombreux festivals et premières parties prestigieuses (J.J. Milteau, Lucky Peterson, Alvin Lee, Wayne Kramer, American Dog, Nashville Pussy, Dr Feelgood, Blue Oÿster Cult,...)
Janeck (guitares) : Intéressé depuis toujours par la création musicale, il fonde son premier groupe en 1995, influencé par Deep Purple, Rainbow, Van Halen... Toutes ces expériences font qu’il muscle son jeu et rejoint Spectrum Band (Rock 70’s), puis Ex & Co pour un Boogie Rock qui dynamise de nombreux concerts, il fait ensuite une incursion dans le Rock 60’s avec Chris Dorchester avant de partir en tournée nationale et internationale avec les Ejectés. A son retour, il rejoint Piledriver qu’il ne quittera plus...
François (chant & basse) : Après des débuts prometteurs au sein des Speed Boys en 1984, il rejoint les Scuba Drivers, qui pendant 5 années vont tourner intensément en Europe, ce qui leur vaudra d’enregistrer un mini LP et un single (Spliff Records), ainsi que diverses compilations... Il fonde ensuite Trouble Boys (Pub Rock), fait un passage chez Kittens (neo Rockabilly) avant de créer Moonshiners (Country Rock). Plus récemment, on peut noter sa participation à Chris Dorchester (Rock, 60’s) ou encore Mary & The Frantics (Wild R’n’R). Le mot de la fin revient à Lindsay Hutton, (Ecosse) qui, dans un fanzine Next Big Thing a déclaré à son sujet : with a name like that, what else would you expect him to do ?
Denis (Batterie) : Il démarre sa carrière en 1980... trés influencé par le Hard Rock des années 70, il formera en 1984 son premier groupe Zgeg avec lequel il fera de nombreux concerts et festivals. Dans les années 90, il fait parties de divers groupes, ce qui lui apporte beaucoup d’expérience et de maturité (Slam, L.S Band ou Moonshiners). Il jouera également avec Blues.O.Matic (ex Toasted Blues) avec qui il enregistrera un album et accompagnera le Bluesman Chicago Beau lors du festival de Lucerne (Suisse) en 1ère partie de B.B.King. Mais son groupe de prédilection , c’est Piledriver dont il est à l'origine...
After nearly sixteen years made of ups and downs (the creation of the band dates back to 1991) it is eventually stabilized and the trio formed of three strong personalities performs with a tremendous « pep ».
PILEDRIVER is over-experienced since it has more than 700 concerts to its credit, further the musicians have also played in first parts of concerts of renowned singers such as Pauline Gillan Band, Alvin Lee, J.J.Milteau, Lucky Peterson, Hans holson, Wayne Kramer, Dr Feelgood, Blue Oÿster Cult, and so on. The trio has performed in many festivals and toured too throughout France, Switzeland, Belgium and Spain.
Feeling strong with their respective experiences and musical influences, PILEDRIVER plays a guenine music, whose main and principal components are Rock’n’Roll and Boogie and has got a repertoire made of energy and strenght ranging from Dr Fellgood, Creedence, Status Quo, Deep Purple, Dave Edmund, to Jimi Hendrix.
The power of the band is based on a good balance between respect of the original pieces and an amount of personality, which prevents from falling into exact replica and which besides would be of no interest at all.
Janeck (guitars) : Motivated from the very beginning by creation and evolution of music and influenced by Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Status Quo and co, he created his first band in 1995. He soon went with Rock band Goo and then tried his hand at blues with Toasted Blues. All those musical experiences made his exection stronger. He then heard of Spectrum Band (70’s Rock’n’Hard)
Afterwards he entered « Ex & Co » for a Boogie Rock and his stage performances made many concerts « peppier » then went on tour with Les Ejectés in the USA. On his return, he met Piledriver and that point decided he wouldn’t leave the band…
François (vocals & bass) : After promissing starts in 1984 with Speed Boys, François joins Scuba Drivers. For 4 years they will be touring intensively throughout Europe, which in return will allow them to cut one mini-LP and one single on Spliff Records. Then François creates Troubles Boys (Pub Rock), makes a short appearance with Kittens (neo Rockabilly) before creating an acoustic trio which plays country rock tendency :Moonshiners. More recently he appeared whith Chris Dorchester and Mary and the Frantics (Rock’n’Roll). Has the final word, the scottish Lindsay Hutton wrote “...with a name like that what else would you expect him to do ?”
Denis (Batterie) : His career begins in 1980 within various bands. Much influenced by 70’s Hard Rock, he created his first band Zgeg in 1984 whith wich he played in many concerts and festivals. Duriong the nineties, he performed in diverse bands (Slam, LS Band, Moonshiners,...) He performed as well with Blues-O-Matic ex -Toasted Blues- with wich he cut an LP and he also accompanied the bluesman Chicago Beau during festival of Lucerne in Switzeland fot the first of B.b King’s concert. But he marked preference, his child is Piledriver that he created, and thanks to this experience beams with joy and lives a very interesting human adventure.
