After "Blues de là !" (2014) of the duet Les Blouzayeurs and "Mûr pour Ie blues" (2015), a solo album with many guests, as the singer and harmonica player Benoît Blue Bloy, here comes the third album of ZU devoted to the blues made in France AND sung in french, something strangely rare and badly judged in this country.
A great novelty is that ZU's blues are now described as "organics", exactly as natural and healthy food. A clever way to talk about local land and proximity, instead of making a fuss by keeping to keep to say that french is a normal way to sing the blues.
The Zigs that form the three other musicians of the quartet are also professionals and excellents players, Georges-Henry Peyrin (keyboards ), Laurent Coulaud (drums) and Jérémie Vinet (bass/backing vocals), that Jean-Michel Fabris just replaced.
With a hint of groovy beats, this blues album will get you in a dancing mood! 12 titles, that is to say 10 original titles, 2 famous french blues cover (Benoit Btue Boy and Bill Deraime) and the famous "I'm Tore Down" of Freddie King (Sonny Thompson) that ZU has adjusted in french.
