IMPERIAL GATES is a modern cutting-edge instrumental Progressive Rock band.
Originally formed in France during the summer of 2011 as an experiment project, the band started their journey by redefining the genre’s boundaries. September 8, 2013 will see the release of their first album “The Sound of Human Fate”, made of the most melodic and technical elements of Rock to offer you something cinematic and ultimately epic beyond comparison. With the stunning centerpiece “Emergent Behavior” showing off their immense talent for gripping creative arrangements, the result is 8 breathtaking tracks of well-considered yet truly organic Progressive Rock. IMPERIAL GATES emerge as their own distinct entity, instantly standing head and shoulders from the Rock scene with their incalculably catchy song-craft and melodic structures. From the cinematic introduction of “Morning Universe” to the brazenly epic “Beneath the Sand”, images of human destiny are created by major key guitar melodies, massive rhythms and euphoric solos. The journey concludes with the triumphant “Awake in Space” and mellowing closer “Nocturnal Prayer”.
