CENTURY
SCREAM is a band from Northern France, that issued a truly original
first eponymous album in 1997. Mainly sung in French, it can be
described as being in the most symphonic vein of Progressive
heavy-metal, as it creates a sort of French speaking counterpart to the
great SHADOW GALLERY. The musicians perform sophisticated symphonic
heavy-metal that owes much more from ethereal parts than in pure
technique, so common in this genre. Here can also be heard valuable
guests, such as guitarists Patrick RONDAT and Jean-Claude RAPIN, on the
title "Time - Ou L'Histoire D'Un Tueur Invincible". Issued four years
later, "Hero" shows a slight change in direction, from then on inspired
by DREAM THEATER and VANDEN PLAS. For the occasion, the language used
went from French to English. Not to be missed !
