Featuring: Earl Slick (David Bowie, John Lennon, Ian Hunter, Tim Curry…), David Glen Eisley (Giuffria, House Of Lords, Sorcery…), Keri Richards (Autograph) DIRTY WHITE BOY has the high distinction of having been trained by Earl Slick, the famous six-string musician. Although early reports suggested that ex-Heavy Pettin vocalist Steve Hayman was working together with Earl Slick, the band was eventually hired by ex-Giuffria vocalist David Glen Eisley. He joined former Autograph drummer Keri Richards and lesser-known bassist F. Kirk Alley. The quartet thus arrived in full glory in 1990 with their first album “Bad Reputation”, a record of undeniable quality. Unfortunately, Dirty White Boy will only make one album, but it's a nugget. This quartet caused a stir with lots of slide guitar gracefully distilled by Earl Slick. Eisley's vocals are loaded for this raw, slightly dirty rock — "Lazy Crazy" is a prime example. "Let's Spend Momma's Money" is a real kick in the butt with its good honkytonk piano riff in the background. "You Give Me Love" recalls the time of the flames of lighters in the rooms, dancing to the sound of fiery voices, and a guitar solo that draws tears. Dirty White Boy emerged just as hair/glam metal was reaching its peak with bands like Guns 'N' Roses and where the market seemed to open its arms to him.
