FAR'N'HIGH…voilà un curieux patronyme… A l'origine, cette formation sévissait sous le nom de "FAHRENHEIT", groupe formé en 1991 en Charente Maritime. Pendant quatre années, ce jeune groupe partage salle des fêtes et festivals et bars-concert pour faire connaître ses compositions et se frotter à l'exercice scénique.
En 1995, FAHRENHEIT, qui devient pour l'occasion " FAR'N'HIGH " de lance dans la production d'un album 10 titres "I promise you heaven". Ce CD représente un premier aboutissement et permet d'obtenir une première bonne presse nationale lors de sa sortie.
"Still alive", mini album de 5 titres verra le jour en 1997, après que le groupe ait changé de chanteur et composé de nouveaux titres. L'accueil réservé par la presse encourage le groupe qui décroche un contrat de licence sur le label Brennus.
1999 est l'année tant attendu pour le groupe qui sort donc son nouvel album distribué en France comme à l'étranger. "Attraction Of Fire", doté de 13 titres reçoit une multitude de bonnes critiques françaises et étrangères.
FAR'N'HIGH commence à se situer dans le monde du Metal mélodique.
Malheureusement, contrairement à ce que prétendent les musiciens, le temps ne se maîtrise pas ! Chacun s'est épuisé sur le travail musical durant ces années et certains ont préféré répondre à des choix de vie que chacun connaît bien…
Loin du pessimisme, les changements de line-up étant monnaie courante pour les groupes qui persévèrent, FAR'N'HIGH ne comptait pas arrêter son histoire avec l'avénement de l'an 2000.
Recomposé en 2002 avec trois nouveaux musiciens autour de Stéphane, FAR'N'HIGH sort en 2005 un nouvel album sobrement intitulé "Day Off". Rien que du neuf, dans un univers de Metal mélodique, agrémenté des influences de chacun des nouveaux musiciens, mélange et compromis restant la philosophie du groupe.

"FAR'N'HIGH"…what an odd name… Originally this band used to rage under the name of " FAHRENHEIT " and was created in 1991 in Charente Maritime.
For four years, this young group has shared its time between playhouses, festivals and concerts in bars to get its songs known and to become familiar with the scenic exercise.
In 1995, FAHRENHEIT, which became for the purpose "FAR'N'HIGH", launched out into the self production of a ten-title-album "I promise you heaven". This CD represented a first achievement and was widely appreciated by the national press when it was released.
"Still alive", a mini five-title-album came to light in 1997, with a new singer and new creations. This album, which was also self produced, was welcomed by the press which encouraged the group and obtained a licence contract with the Brennus/Musea Label.
1999 was the awaited year for the band who released its first album which was distributed in France as well as abroad.
"Attraction of fire" with its 13 titles received good critics in France but also abroad. FAR'N'HIGH had started to find its place on the world melodic metal scene.
Unfortunately, and against what musicians can pretend, time can't be controlled ! Each one has been worn out to musical work for years and some have preferred to respond to other well known life choices…
Far from pessimism, changes in line-up being quite frequent in the persevering bands, FAR'N'HIGH was not ready to stop at the eve of the new millennium.
Recomposed in 2002 with three new musicians around Stephane, FAR'N'HIGH released in 2005 a new album soberly called "Day off". Merely new in a melodic metal universe, ornamented with the influences of each member of the new band, medley and compromise remaining the philosophy of the group.
