WARDANZ must not be seen as just another Metal band, this one has got soul and an everlasting love for Mother Earth. It’s that peculiar state of mind that pushes forward four passionate and ambitious young men born and raised by the Pyrenees Mountains. This strong feeling makes them a solid unit, so hard to find by today’s standards.
Formed in 2005 WARDANZ has brought to life their own musical world inspired by this unconditional dedication to Nature which remains their true inspiration, thus paying their homage through their music, lyrics and stage shows. Thanks to this music/Nature union the band built up a strong personality through a classy Heavy Metal full of passion and power. When attending one of their shows, you can only agree, there’s a solid identity there! Besides, to satisfy the die Hard Metal heads, they play a stunning set of classic Metal hits; the whole shebang!
The winter of 2008 found the band locked in their headquarters in the Black Mountain district to give birth to their first record. Ten tracks of irresistible high profile punchy Metal with a bombastic production. But average heavy stuff it ain’t! WARDANZ explores with sincerity many aspects of their musical craft: from mid-tempo classic rock to thrashing Speed Metal, via more tribal oriented rhythms and Heavy as hell doomy stuff, never losing what makes them so unique. But we’re not dealing here with a concept album, it’s more like a subtle message running all along the songs, either through gentle acoustic themes or thundering in your face sections! The band masterfully produced the record it self and gave its music a stunning clear and mighty sound. Jens Bogren was in charge of the mastering and did a tremendous job for a maximum impact! To top it all, the cd was clad with a gorgeous three-side package, stuffed with great pictures of the boys standing in their favourite places: the open-space and the stage.
