Le premier album d’un groupe est souvent le reflet d'une personnalité, d'une identité. “Book of Dreams” est de cette sorte, œuvrant au cœur d’un Metal mélodique empreint d’une mélancolie propre à VAIDDREAMS.
Le trio composé de David Turpin (Chant), Nicolas Turpin (Guitares, Basse) et Sébastien Classen (Clavier), nous fait découvrir un univers où imaginaire et réalité se confondent. Sorte de prémisse qui ouvre les portes d’un monde onirique et incertain.
Puisant leurs inspirations et leurs influences auprès de groupes tels que Stratovarius, Edguy ou encore Kamelot, les deux frères entament leur voyage musical en 2005. Il ne s’agissait alors que d’un vague concept qui, mois après mois, prit forme pour aboutir à la création du groupe VAIDDREAMS, puis à l’écriture et à la production de leur premier opus : “Book of Dreams”. Avec l’arrivée du dernier membre, c’est un show calibré et efficace qui est désormais servi.
Leur album est un subtil mélange de riffs puissants, de chants nuancés et hauts perchés, de sonorités électroniques ou ethniques et de mélodies envoûtantes. Oscillant entre le speed “Groundswell”, le féroce “Edge of Soul”, l’efficace “Lycanthropia” et le puissant “A Reign’s Illusion”, ce premier volet est un miroir dans lequel chacun trouvera son reflet.
Une invitation au rêve … sombre ou merveilleux.

The first album of a band is often the reflection of a personality, an identity. “Book of Dreams” is one of that kind, delivering a Melodic Metal marked with the characteristic melancholy of VAIDDREAMS.
The trio, composed of David Turpin (Vocals), Nicolas Turpin (Guitars, Bass) and Sébastien Classen (Keyboards), presents a universe where imaginary and reality become one. A kind of premise, which opens the doors to a dreamlike and dubious world.
Finding their inspirations and influences from bands like Stratovarius, Edguy or Kamelot, the two brothers started their musical travel in 2005. At that time, it was only a blur concept which, month after month, took shape until VAIDDREAMS is created, to finally end in writing and producing their first opus: “Book of Dreams”. With the last member joining in, a calibrated and effective show was born.
Their first album is a subtle mix of powerful guitars, light and high vocals, electronic or ethnic sonorities and enchanting melodies. Oscillating between the speed “Groundswell”, the wild “Edge of Soul”, the effective “Lycanthropia” and the powerful “A Reign’s Illusion”, this first album is a mirror through which each one will find his reflection.
