ALANNAH est une formation française actuelle de
heavy-metal mélodique, fondé en 1995 en région parisienne sur les
cendres de GLAZWOLF. Bénéficiant d'une production très soignée,
le premier album éponyme est publié en 1999 sur le fameux
label Brennus. Sa musique nous entraîne dans un
univers teinté US, dont les influences principales sont puisées chez
PRETTY MAIDS, KISS, Michael SCHENKER GROUP, HOUSE OF LORDS,
BON JOVI ouDOKKEN.
L'on trouve également trace de quelques emprunts plus actuels, ainsi que quelques séquelles de heavy-metal
Progressif symphonique.
Bien que réduit à un trio, le groupe reste fidèle à la ligne directrice
qui a toujours été la sienne, et propose un superbe second opus.
"Time..." (2004) bénéficie d'une production encore plus soignée, ce qui
lui permet de rivaliser sans peine avec les productions des maîtres du
genre. A ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !

ALANNAH is a present French melodic heavy-metal band, born in 1995
from the ashes of GLAZWOLF in the Paris area. Benefiting from a
very careful production, the first self-titled album was released in
1999 on the famous Brennus label. The music takes us to a quite
US-like universe, whose main influences come from PRETTY MAIDS,
KISS, Michael SCHENKER GROUP, HOUSE OF LORDS, BON JOVI or
DOKKEN. More recent borrowings are also to be found, as well as a
few signs from symphonic Progressive heavy-metal.
Although reduced to a trio, the band remains on a main line that has always been
its own, and provides us
with a superb second opus.
"Time..." (2004) got an even more careful
production, which certainly enables it to compete with the productions
of the leaders in the genre. On no account should you
miss it !
