Depuis 1986 les pyrénéens d'ARSENIC écument les scènes du Pays Basque, de la Gascogne et de tout le grand Sud de l'hexagone... C'est dire si leur Speed Metal est bien rôdé ! Suite à la traditionnelle période consacrée à jouer des reprises de ses maîtres d'alors : IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, MOTLEY CRUE ou ACCEPT, le groupe se lance dans la composition d'un répertoire personnel. Trois démos, entre 1988 et 1992, leur donneront l'assise nécessaire pour se lancer dans la réalisation d'un 1er CD. Après avoir stabilisé la formation autour des deux fondateurs Eric MAUTALEN (batterie) et Stéphane LACOUDE (basse), grâce aux arrivées des guitaristes Christian LUCUIX et Laurent MICHEL et d'Alain DENIS (chant), ARSENIC se lance dans la réalisation de ce 1er album dont la production est assurée par Bruno DOLHEGUY (KILLERS). Les grands atouts des compositions d'ARSENIC résident dans la recherche mélodique et dans la présence d'un chant en français de très bonne facture. La presse réagit très positivement à l'écoute de "Lady sniper" leur premier CD qui sort fin 1996 sur BRENNUS. Xavier GOILLART (ex BOSTGEHIO) remplace Eric en septembre 1997. Six mois plus tard, ARSENIC enregistre "Etats d'urgences" (toujours chez KILLERS) qui sort à l'automne 1998, toujours sur BRENNUS. Avec ce nouvel album, ARSENIC reste fidèle au Speed Metal mélodique qu'il a toujours joué. "C'est du heavy-speed mélodique, simple, franc et direct, remarquablement travaillé et rendu par cinq musiciens qui maîtrisent parfaitement leur sujet. Tout est en place impeccablement, de la rythmique qui enlève le tout jusqu'au chant agressif mais performant, rien n'a été laissé au hasard. Louis Bourgade / HARD n' HEAVY En juin 2001, ARSENIC publie son troisième album sous le titre "Dégradence". Cette nouvelle galette, riche de 11 titres est l'oeuvre d'un nouveau line up composé de Alain Denis (chant), Jérôme Gibanel (guitare), Stéphane Lacoude (basse), Guillaume Rodriguez (batterie) et David Sanz (guitare). Le style développé sur "Dégradence" par la nouvelle formation reste néanmoins inpertubablement dans la même lignée que celui proposé sur les deux premiers opus du groupe.

1986 / 87 Five young boys (an average of 15 years old !) create the ARSENIC band, moved by the faith in Heavy Metal. In the beginning, they play pieces of well known Metal Groups of the 80's such as IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, ACCEPT, and the most famous French one : TRUST. 1988 / 89 After several concerts in their own county, the five members record their first demo : "Premiers pas". This enables ARSENIC to soar in the world of the Heavy Metal music with the enthusiasm and the dash of youth. 1990 The black year ! The singer André SALINAS is seriously injured in a car crash, and in the space of a few months, Alain GIRARDI and David SANZ, the 2 guitarists, leave the band for professional reasons. These problems put an end to ARSENIC's hopes of rising in the wave of Heavy Metal in France. 1991 / 92 After a year of waiting and several auditions, 3 new members : Alain DENIS (vocals), Laurent MICHEL (guitars), and Christian LUCUIX (guitars), come up with Stéphane LACOUDE (bass) and Eric MAUTALEN (drums), the "survivors". A new line up, that marks a corner in the ARSENIC's career in a more melodic style (but still Hard !) 1993 / 95 The band does more and more concerts in the South of France, improving its style and beginning to grow up to install and impose its French Metal pieces. Guest of KILLERS, VULCAIN or THE SILENCERS, it works hard in the heart of ARSENIC which harvest, at last, the fruits of its tenacity. 1996 / 98 Here it is ! 1996: The band records the "Lady Sniper" album. Ever since, after some good reviews in the national press (such as Hard n'Heavy or Hard Force magazines) ARSENIC goes on the road, all over the country CD. 1997 : a new drummer: Xavier GOILLART. 1998 : ARSENIC records the "Etats d'urgences" album...and the adventure goes on... 1999 / 2001 After a new period of trouble, the band comeback with a new line-up for its third album "Dégradence" which is in the same vein of the two first ones. The new band are : Stéphane LACOUDE (bass), Alain DENIS (vocals), Jérôme GIBANEL (guitars),David SANZ (Guitar) and Guillaume RODRIGUEZ (drums).
